Brown mid-year Targa in Coal Creek Canyon, CO last week
I was on vacation in the front range (Denver and environs) last week and was on a great ride on July 4th, climbing Coal Creek Canyon up to the P2P and to Nederland and back, when I got passed by a brown mid-year Targa. I was happiest on my bike, but it did make me wish I'd driven my SC out to CO instead of my Saab! So whoever that was, thanks

It wasn't me, I usually drive the golden gate canyon through the state park to get to the p2p. But I wonder is the Copperdale Resteraunt still there? It's an excellent German eatery that was owned by a really nice couple that were employed by the Trapp family in Salzburg in the old days. He used to sit at the bar and tell us great stories about times gone past.

I did have the use of my friend's sport-package '99 Miata, which was good consolation for not having my Targa with me. I used to visit the front range regularly (my sister lived in Ned for years) and love driving there. Last week I drove Boulder Canyon, Coal Creek Canyon and Golden Gate Canyon as well as the P2P between just past Ward and nearly Blackhawk. Memory of driving like this can sustain me for a while when I'm back home in the boring flatland of Chicago.
