Has anyone heard about the Pemiblanc hack?

I received an email tonight that had my email address and name. It’s was about a hack awhile back. I didn’t click any of the links. Anyone else get? A Google search seems to show its only a few hours old. https://www.google.com/search?q=Pemiblanc&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari This is who I got the email from: https://www.troyhunt.com/the-111-million-pemiblanc-credential-stuffing-list/ Love story short, I DO need to update my password and user name... | ||

They can also spoof your e-mail address. Click on the header information of the e-mail and you might see that it wasn't actually from your account.

Name and email are easily available. Spoofing the "from" address is childs play, literally.

It’s fun to email coworkers from the president and tell them they have to take a mandatory pay cut

Unfortunately the bad guys are impersonating good guys.. I have been doing an investigation on this topic and I'm very familiar with the 500 million passwords available. Heck I bet I have at least one of your passwords! I could spend hours talking about this topic.. but I'll spare you the details and just tell you how to protect yourself: Get a password manager and change all your passwords! I use https://keepass.info/ (but its geeky), but for one that is easy and effective is this: https://1password.com/ This is serious stuff going on.. this hackers will turn your life upside down if you let them.. An no fish is too small.. you all have online banking, emails, etc.. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer you.
