Actually, tabs has been quite entertaining around here. So, I for one won't be ordering any "tabs be gone".

Truth be told, I'd rather read one of tabs posts, than see another one about, "How I painted my garage floor".

I must admit, that while at first, tabs rubbed me the wrong way, I have warmed up to his personality and sense of humor.

I may not always agree with tabs, and he may stress his issues with R-Gruppe too often, but still his humor is enjoyable.

So really, which "whole concept" do you mean?
As I see it, the only ones in question (relating to "getting it") are R-Gruppe and Tabs. Are you saying "but if you "get it..." the whole concept (what tabs says) is REALLY funny !!!!" (?) Certainly tabs comes up with some witty and humorous content . . though, quite alot of it is serious. (not "REALLY funny")

I dunno, it seem you guys can dish it out the jabs, but. . .

I'm with you on this one Island. I'm starting to wonder if Curtissaa has a sense of humor. I started off liking the whole R-Gruppe idea, but if he is an example of the typical R-Gruppe member, then I doubt that I would want to hang around with them. Don't get me wrong, I also find Tabs to be a PITA most of the time, especially his postings on the Early S board and his harassment of Paul over there, but I also find some of the R-Gruppe guys to be overly arrogant.

My thoughts too. If this is considered a bit of "lite" humor, what do you do when you want to be really heavy handed? If you think Tabs is a knob, well, fine...but the photo above raises more questions about the maker than it does about Tabs.

It seems to me that this stuff finds a much more receptive audience among the handful of users on the Early S Boards than it does in the much larger Pelican universe...

In this post I am going to side step the R Gruppe issue, you guys are doing a wonderfull job of telling it like it is.....Gawd knows I've tried talking to them but they just don't seem to get the message that they have an attitude problem. In other words their biggest problem is THEY DON'T LISTEN.

Anyway Kurt I've tried MANY times to make PEACE with PWD. Go and look through the archives on this Board and the Registry, you can find the effort was made. But to NO AVAIL.

Paul and I had a major blow out about my comment, about him going by the way of Stockton with the assualt weapon he was planning on bringing to the Cambria R Gruppe conclave a couple of years back. He and the R Gruppe took it as MY threatening them, after a year I explained my side of the issue to Paul...and the best I could get outa Paul is, "whatever!"

Also you shoulda seen the vindictivness in Pauls face when he found he could press the ignore button on me....

So if you guys all think that Paul is this perfect gentleman.....guess again............He's putting on an act, cause underneath he's a narrow minded, arrogant, and inflexible old man. Thats what comes through when he's dealing with me, and I have a tendency to be able to strip away facades.

tabs, r-gruppe, pwd . . . .Let it go!
While there may be some Jerry Springer fans out there, for the most part, people here are sick of hearing the same old defensive postures.

tabs, don't worry about others thinking that Paul is this perfect gentleman. THe whole "cat fight" nature of that squabble brought eveyone involved to about the same level. (IMO)

I also have a good laugh at those that make general sweeping statements on R Gruppe (or any other group). Having based their observations on the limited content of a couple of posts by a couple of members. So your entire R Gruppe experience is limited to this board? Well it is more than an internet forum car club.

In fact these posts are so brief and open to interpretation that forming a conclusion on the poster alone is unreliable.

Your right that a brief encounter on the internet is really not enough to form an opinion.

However Ted, I have been talking to the R Gruppe for 2 Years and have had extensive dialog with them as well as attending several function in which they were present......Also during that time I have been called everyname in the book by them to discredit me...and their hostility is so great that they even started this thread...

That should read.....make that admission about themselves....... it is an extreme act of humility if you can say that about yourself.....simply because you are admitting that you are fallible and are imperfect. So now be my guest and cast the first stone......

The relationship you have with Curtis does not have to be extended to the other 270 persons in R Gruppe.

By no means am I the Rgruppe poster boy. Having said that, Island, I am entitled to voice my opinion whenever and where ever I see fit. When it comes to T52, I have been able to see-thru his bipolor antics way before the Pelican board even existed...

And to you T52, I bet you love having Island chim-in for your sorry ass. The 2 of you deserve to go on vacation together;)

Well Ted I've met quite a few of them at one time or another and they do share some common traits...whats ironic is I get along with the R Gruppe Meister himself...I find him to be a down to earth guy....Bottom line is that I like most of the R Gruppe guys, I love razzing them. Problem is they take it so seriously, I try and tell them not to take it so seriously and they don't listen. Thats their problem.... It's like they can dish it out but they can't take it....and if they could take it...there would be no problem...... we'd all be hunky dory..... Thats on them not me.....they carry it around inside them I don't.....I'm clear about what the issues are and where I stand..... All Curtis can do is spout off that I'm a "sorry a$$."

Keep up the good work swbsam and I KNOW even Tabs gets a kick out of these pictures. To those of you who think curtisaa isn't cool to Tabs, keep in mind that this has gone on for closer to THREE YEARS. Since before the Pelican Board was even a blip on the internet. Tabs has been dissing the R Gruppe this whole time. Sometimes, obviously in jest, sometimes only obvious in jest to Tabs himself. curtissaa is in the R Gruppe, he digs the R Gruppe philosophy and has alot of friends in the R Gruppe. He's sick of Tabs blasting his ideals on Porsches and his friends. I'd say it's only natural. It's tough to really assess this feud unless you've been there from the beginning as I have. I can tell you this, if curtisaa had a problem with his Porsche, it probably would be standing room only in his garage with all the Porsche friends who would show up to try and help. If Tabs had a problem? Well....

Now if Tabs had a BBQ, it might be standing room only at his house too. From his recipe posting on the Early S board, it sounds like the BBQ is where Tabs is the master. I think the R Gruppe should snag Tabs' BBQ, put on some fender flares, lighten up the metal work with some fiberglass, put in some bigger burners so that sucker really cooks and show Tabs that a tasteful little modification can actually be a good thing.:D
