Sicario 2

So who's going to be watching Sicario 2? It comes out in theatres later tonight!

I had the pleasure of watching it yesterday. I'll just say I really liked it, but if you're looking for the same tension and suspense of the first one (in my opinion is what made it so great), you have to throw that expectation out the window. Quite different than the first one, but very enjoyable. I'm not going to say anything else until you guys get a chance to watch it. I'll rewatch it in the theatres this weekend as well

I recorded v 1...have yet to watch it.
I usually only watch recorded DirecTV movies when my g/f wants to watch movies.
Looks like I'll be watching v 1 alone.

You definitely have to watch the first one when you get the chance, Don! It was so good I watched it three days in a row

You don't need to watch the first one before going to watch Sicario 2 either.

The most direct translation from Spanish to English for sicario is "hitman." The word is most often used to describe the hitmen associated with the Mexican drug cartels, and they don't have the friendliest reputation.

What made the first one great is the story was not about who you thought it was.

Shame because if you haven’t seen 1 yet 2 spoils that.

It's a good movie, but it is more of a movie.

Yup, I was really hoping it would be closer to the first, but oh well. I'm going to watch one at home then hit the theatres tonight to watch 2 again.

Sicario 1 is the only movie I've paid more than once (in my case, 4x) to watch.

I was hoping they didn't ruin the movie with secret sex relationship boy girl (or boy boy) drama nonsense designed to appeal to mommies secret fantasies, or worse pandering to 'diversity'.

The original was great because it reflects a real problem we have these days, no need to muck it up with what the usual add on nonsense.

Just saw it, enjoyed it. Good tension throughout. Have not seen the first one. Guess I should. Last few seconds?

That never crossed my mind, but I'm glad that wasn't present haha.

You NEED to see the first one. If you liked tension, the first one will blow you away. Trust me on this!!

But yes, the last few seconds of this one... my jaw dropped.
