Drones - Anyone in the know
I've been shopping around. Looking for suggestion - here are my requirements.
1. GPS enabled with Waypoint and return home. 2. 1080p camera with Gimbal/Stabilization) 3. Brushless motors 4. Control frequency ideally not only Wifi to increase range. 5. Actual controller - not just phone. 6. FPV 7. $200-ish or less. Anyone fit the bill? Seems lots of off-brands out there - probably all made by the same 5 companies? (DJI is WAY out of my range.) |
Not for that price :) more of a kids/fun one.
Goods ones are 4-5 times that price |
I’ve found a few that do all that in the price range minus the long range. If you had to give on something other than price, what would it be.

You will have to buy a used one for that. Craig’s list or EBay or the like. And get lucky finding it.

Not going to get all of that for $200..
If you are willing to DIY assemble, there are some good instructions on FliteTest.com |

I know most of the people here are likely to shoot you down if you fly within 20 miles of them.

The DJI Spark is a great little drone. It’s technically out of your price range but they have a very active forum/DIY community. In fact, one of the motors crapped out on my son’s Spark. We ordered a new one through Amazon forn $21 and got it back up and running with a little help from a YouTuber. I can’t belive the picture quality on this thing. I get the sense drone folks like to upgrade units, so there may be a decent inventory of used ones if you know what to look for.
