Six Plane Formation Photo Shoot
So 2 weeks ago I got invited to pilot the #3 ship in a Photo Shoot. The 6 planes were WWII Stinson L-5s. The #3 ship belongs to a Doctor that I have the privilege to fly his 7 different WWII airplanes. Today's weather forecast was hotter than heck in the DFW area and the briefing was right at 1 hour working out the necessary things like communications, altitude, positions and all emergency plans of action. We were doing an evening shoot over Lake Louisville just a few miles north of DFW airport.
The photo ship was a T6-G. Flying formation, the last thing you can do is take pictures. So all the pictures I have are before the launch that I took from the ground. My buddy that put this together is hoping to get some pictures published. ![]() ![]()
