Ok. I ripped it apart. Big taper in the bores. New liners, pistons and rings.
Question: the manual says to use liquid gasket sealant on the head gasket. Nothing at my FLAPS seems right. My gut says this is wrong. Opinions??? Thanks! |
There used to be spray on gasket adhesive . I believer it was specifically for a chrysler head gasket application, and the product I used was made/sold through Mopar Dealers . If I remember correctly, it was used on a steel shim gasket
If you come up empty, I probably still have the can, and can mail it to you. |
Thanks Fred!!!

https://scegaskets.com/store/accessories/sce-gaskets-part-number-g1612/ Some gaskets come with gray molly "stuff" on the surfaces and don't need the spray. I think Fel-Pro does this. |
Bought it! Thanks!

Just found it this morning. It still sprays and it is indeed copper . I was ready to pack it up and send it your way. I remember using it for steel shim gaskets, when we were bumping the compression up, and I think some of those early turbo caravans called for this and a steel shim . Cannot remember exactly though, its been a long time .
