Ok. I ripped it apart. Big taper in the bores. New liners, pistons and rings.

Question: the manual says to use liquid gasket sealant on the head gasket. Nothing at my FLAPS seems right. My gut says this is wrong. Opinions???

Thanks!

There used to be spray on gasket adhesive . I believer it was specifically for a chrysler head gasket application, and the product I used was made/sold through Mopar Dealers . If I remember correctly, it was used on a steel shim gasket
If you come up empty, I probably still have the can, and can mail it to you.

Copper coat.

Some gaskets come with gray molly "stuff" on the surfaces and don't need the spray. I think Fel-Pro does this.

Bought it! Thanks!

Just found it this morning. It still sprays and it is indeed copper . I was ready to pack it up and send it your way. I remember using it for steel shim gaskets, when we were bumping the compression up, and I think some of those early turbo caravans called for this and a steel shim . Cannot remember exactly though, its been a long time .
