I passed out and wrecked the M3 this morning

No one hurt, and no real damage, I scuffed the bumper cover, so no gory accident pics . I actually drifted backwards at a traffic light into the venture van behind me. I don't wreck cars .
Guy was really cool, laughed, showed me his other dents, and did not even take my info. I explained that I was not feeling good at all, and think I passed out.
I have no idea what happened. I was at the dentist this morning, and I frequently leave there with a headache. Today was a total **** show, and I got stuck there for 5 hours all of which I had a brain splitting migrane headache. I felt like I was going to throw up and or pass out when I left .
I never get sick like this. The only other time I have ever experienced anything else like it was with extreme sleep depravation .Like when I drive for 30 hours straight, or after binge partying for 2 days . I felt great when I went to bed last night, slept great, and felt great when I left the house this am .
In hindsight, I should not have even driven I was going in and out the whole ride home . As long as I was moving, I seemed to be o.k , but at lights , I was drifting in and out . I pulled over at one point and called my wife to come get me, but she did not answer , so I got back on the road. Not a smart move, but I was not thinking clearly at all at this point.
When I was moving, I was fine, but at the last couple red lights before I got home, I was really struggling to retain consciousness.
I was worried I had stroke or something, I took 3 tylenol, slept for a few hours , and other than a mile headache, I feel normal now .
Maybe I should go get checked out . I have been keeping an eye on my blood pressure, and it has been pretty good for the last year.

Based on your typing I think you should get checked out.
I’m not a doctor and I’m at home not at a holiday inn, but spelling and punctuation look off.
Go get looked at. Life’s too short, don’t do anything to shorten it.

I get headaches at the dentist when they tip the chair so your head is below the rest of you. I tell the dentist not to do that and for the most part they comply.

Go get checked out NOW. Like this minute. If it's nothing no harm no foul if it's something it may save your life.

Three weeks ago one of the girls that works for me felt a bit off. Everyone tried to get her to go to the emergency room. She blew it off. The next day she had a stroke. In the hospital for a week. Turns out some sort of blockage in her renal artery needed a shunt inserted.

Two weeks ago my FIL law dropped dead of a massive stroke.

This past Tuesday I went to the local Wawa for coffee I see this guy sitting on one of those walkers with a seat. He had a stroke eight months ago. He's just getting back on his feet.

Probably nothing. A little aneurism never hurt nobody.

AFAIK severe headache, loss of consciousness, cognitive impairment, amnesia and nausea is normal while driving.

It could be a TIA.

Tobra 07-26-2018 06:56 PM

All sorts of not good going on Fred, hope you get good news from the doctor

WPOZZZ 07-26-2018 07:13 PM

I would go straight to the ER. Do not wait. I did that and learned my lesson.

madcorgi 07-26-2018 07:43 PM

Agree with the above. Scary stuff.

Bill Douglas 07-26-2018 07:49 PM

Blood pressure, blood sugar levels etc. It's a good thing you didn't need to get on the motorway to get home and it be more of a high speed incident. Pleased it wasn't worse!

Superman 07-26-2018 08:07 PM

Fred. We love you. Go see a doctor. We want you to be okay. Go see a doctor.

LWJ 07-26-2018 08:11 PM

Amend above. Go now!

john walker's workshop 07-26-2018 08:41 PM

Do you drink a lot of coffee?

Evans, Marv 07-26-2018 08:52 PM

Fred, go see a doctor ASAP. Dude, I'm surprised somebody as thoughtful as you hasn't done it.

Nickshu 07-26-2018 09:01 PM

Fred go to the ER. I had a similar incident last year, turned out to be viral meningitis. I took an ambulance ride to the ER, I thought I was having an aneurysm or something similar. Terrible headache like I'd never experienced. Go get checked out!

Used to be a big coffee drinker, but limit it to one or 2 cups a day. Today, I had none. I kind of took it easy today, and I am feeling fine now, but Ill take your advice, and make a call in the morning .
I've got a one year old boy, and my 12 year old son. I need to hang on for at least 20 more years. Its weird, I have been feeling really good this year. No signs what so ever of impending troubles .
My friend jay had a similar episode last year, and it was diagnosed as a mini stroke .
Thanks for the kind words guys!
