PSA: Best pillow ever

Whenever I fly to pick up a car somewhere, I pick up a cheap pillow at a Target or Walmart along the side of the interstate instead of packing one, (bulky in carry-on bag). They are $5 or $10 and I have a bunch of them in my Airstream or laying around somewhere.

I'd never put them on my bed, which has 4 or 5 good, expensive pillows on it. I'm talking Scandia Down, firm ones/soft ones, etc. So on a recent road trip, I pulled into a Walmart and instead of buying the $5 synthetic pillow, I splurged on the $15 memory foam one.

HOLY SHNIZZLE. This is the best pillow I've ever laid my head on and it's in my bed now. All the other ones are pushed aside. Maybe all memory foam pillows are this good(?) It's a first for me and it's transformational. I've always been challenged finding a perfect pillow, I sleep generally on my side and I know there are different types depending on if you lay on back/side/stomach. For laying on my side, it's the perfect height and firmness and I think I'm sleeping better.

Just thought I'd share this. Might seem trivial but sleeping well is everything in terms of health and happiness.

Thanks for the PSA, Denis! My neck has been telling me something’s gotta change.

I like good pillows, sheets, etc. my memory foam mattress is wonderful. I've been afraid to try the pillows.

I take my own pillow when staying in hotels/cruise ships. ALL the pillows in these places are huge. It puts your head and neck on a crazy angle and is likely to give you a headache the next day. Yes, I am getting old LOL

I’m in bed reading PPOT and my head is on the Walmart same pillow.

I’m surprised how comfortable it is.

Here's what I've been using lately and seem to work pretty good.

You won't find them at Walmart though.....

Bleh, bleh, bleh! Memory foam, Bleh! Nope, I don't like memory foam, I tried a couple, and was only able to score a "not horrible". I then found what I've been using since I was a kid which is latex foam. Latex foam >>>> memory foam.
I get mine from https://sleeponlatex.com/products/sol-natural-talalay-pillow

He said memory foam, not mammary foam. That's two very different things. (Not to say that you aren't on to something)

I'd be motor boating those jugs all night long. Wouldn't get a wink of sleep.

I threw the wrapper away but here is the tag. It was probably labeled WM brand.

I dunno, Baz. Laying on a picture of tits probably won’t do much for the crick in my neck.

I keep a small memory foam pillow in my carry on (along with the Bose QC’s). You can put it on the arm rest as well. I like the memory foam pillows more than any other for traveling.

I don’t understand those horse collars that people wear. That doesn’t look comfortable at all.

Peter -

Have you ever tried flannel sheets?

That's what I have and love them.

100% different feel than conventional sheets.

For me they are a "cozier" feel.

Yeah, but only in the winter. They're too hot for me in the summer. Then I just want a really nice quality regular cotton sheet.
