Suggestions On Shipping A Bumper Inexpensively?

Friends - I'm in Houston and trying to ship a bumper skin to a friend in NYC. Most shipping quotes are coming back as outrageous ($500+), I've tried Uship, FedEx Freight, UPS Ground. I'm trying to ship door to door so Greyhound is not an option.

The bumper skin is quite light (15ish lbs) but because of its sheer size the quotes treat it as "oversized" and a premium amount is added to the cost.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Yasin

If not already, repackage using 2 bike boxes sleeved and cut down to smaller size.

Then use either busfreighter.com or bikeflights.com. I'm not sure if Bike Flights will take something that isn't a bike but worth a call.

A transaxle shop nearby uses the local Fastenal store. Fastenal-to-Fastenal is way cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

I shipped one ny to oregon through ups was only like 90$. Make the box as small as possible and take it to the ups hub not the ups store.

Greyhound bus lines - hands down cheapest for large items. Downside is both buyer / seller have to travel to their nearest GH bus station.
