Turn Off Pelican Emails
Ok, I buy parts from Pelican. I have sold parts here on the For Sale Forum. I have benefitted from the Tech Forums time and time again and have contributed through the years regularly. I'm grateful for how Pelican has supported the Porsche community.
But, I have reached the point that the barrage of Pelican emails to the couple of email addresses I have used is really tiring. Can someone point me on how to turn off the Pelican emails. Please don't tell me I have to totally unsubscribe because I just might. I'm at that point. Thanks, grateful but tired. Flame on if you must.

I filter it all into folders automatically based on sending domain.
Sure, I still get it all - but I can ignore it if I want. |

Have never received a Pelican email. So, not much help, but normally you can set up your email preferences as you wish. Why not scroll through your userCP settings and adjust accordingly?

The OP has a legitimate beef. When I restored my hot rod I started buying many of the parts from Pelican. I was innundated with follow-up emails. Each part ordered generated at least three to four separate emails. A confirm and a shipping notification is enough. I actually went elsewhere for parts about mid way through the build because of it.

Has there been an increase in email marketing since the Wayne Dempsey era?
An occasional email of special offers can be a nice reminder that I've got a few things to order. When too many marketing emails clog the in box, it is just annoying, and will eventually hurt business. |

I'm sure I'm in the system with multiple vehicles that parts have been purchased for. Perhaps that too warrants the emails?

I’m there with you... I get triplicates of all the marketing emails. I assume it’s due to different vehicles I have “in the system”.
(Would be nice to “de-dupe” the database guys) 😉 I don’t mind the ordering/shipping/tracking emails. Pelican/ECS are definitely pushing more products with email. Just part of staying in front of us customers. |

I have two vehicles in their system, but at the most, I get only one per week from them.
It's always a 'special sale' and I think there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

I maybe only get a few per week from Pelican. Seems you could send to Spam folder?
I have an old Yahoo email address I rarely check...Seems you could set up a 2nd email and send them there? No sure if you can opt out totally?

Thanks for suggestions, I already have a "spare" email that I use for online activity but over time have used others for Pelican. As a note, in the last week over the Labor Day weekend I received 3 Pelican emails times 3- addresses and 3 devices, computer, phone, iPad. You can se why it would be nice to turn them off without loosing user privileges.
Why should I have to use a filter for this, that just loads up another place I have to go and delete. Already have one of those accounts too plus the spam folder from my ISP. Tks.

'Chris at ECS' sends me a lot more crap than PP does.
And I have never bought from ECS...

Thanks for the feedback guys. We currently have 2 systems in place that are responsible for the email sends - we're actively working on consolidating everything into 1, which will greatly help. If anyone runs into any issues, please feel free to PM one of the Mods/Admins and we'll be happy to help out.
