When I think of Mach 1's of the past

This makes me throw up in my mouth a bit...

EV? Great, now the cars-and-coffee crowd won't hear it coming as it mows them down.

So now a 4 banger turbo Mustang doesn't sound so bad after all does it?

As much ribbing as we give you I wouldn't mind having a Mustang in my driveway, there is a guy at work that has newer one with the small hood scoop that I drool over, not sure what model it is.

So it's considerd an ergonomics upgrade ?

I wish they would make up their mind. In January it might be Mach 1. A month ago there was too much backlash to call it Mach 1 and deservedly so. Now it is back?

2 and 4 door Broncos.......................that's quite the change from previous news releases.

As this comes right from Ford, I'm relieved.

If I were to suddenly think about Mach 1's of the past I'd probably think of Chuck Yeager.

..................it seems like we will see a huge turn with 2021 Ford Mach 1. First of all, it is not going to belong to the same family. The muscle car goes to crossover segment. The second change is also radical. The Mach 1 in dropping conventional engines and goes all-electric.

Reasons behind this decision are numerous. First of all, this vehicle plans to raid Chinese market. In this part of the world, sales records are the best for electric vehicles..................

Volvo also plans to make five electric models by 2021. Jaguar bosses said this company goes after EV in 2020. The first all-electric Infiniti is coming in 2021.

This is hilarious.

At least mine has a Ford small block....(some might argue too small of a block :) )

So with this switch to EV, does that mean the Stangs will be looking for a different kind of crowd?
I mean, If they plan on mowing down hipsters, sipping their latte's, I'm all for it.

It's in the video posted in the opening link.

Just after the 1:20 mark.

This might not mean a 2-door right off the bat.

I hope it does though.

EDIT-1:

2021 Ford Bronco Teased! 2 & 4 Doors and Hybrid Coming, Plus Baby Bronco

The boxy silhouette of the next Bronco is shown underneath a mud-splashed cover of what appears to be a 2-door version with a rear-mounted spare tire.

Bronco hopefuls will be thrilled to hear that Ford President Jim Farley, confirmed that the upcoming Bronco will come in both 2 and 4 door variants in addition to offering a hybrid engine option — this of course implies that the 2021 Bronco will at the least have a traditional gasoline engine as the base model.
Just how boxy is still up in the air, I keep seeing conflicting reports on that subject.

93nav 09-07-2018 09:36 PM

kach22i,

Thanks for the reply. I had not seen that comment in the video, I also want a 2 door. The draped over silhouette pic has been around for a while.

Thanks again.
