Another Diorama.....
I know some of you enjoyed seeing some of my past projects and this is one I finished the other day. Much simpler than some of the larger "repair shops" I've done but this was in my head and had to get it out!
Old shed being consumed by nature...... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763301.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763333.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763363.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763395.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763425.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536763459.jpg |
Your ability to give substance to your imagination is envy-genic!

Fantastic work- like I’m looking at the real thing.
|
I like it! I caught myself feeling bad for the cars for a minute!

Thanks for sharing as always, I always appreciate the art you've created. I did swing by Light & Shadow during Monterey Car Week, but didn't see any of your dioramas at that time. I'll swing by during Rennsport Reunion again though!
|
Thanks guys....I always appreciate the kind comments!
And thank you Eric. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to Monterey and won't be at Rennsport either. Most all my work now goes to the Gallery of Speed in Laguna Beach, but I will be at the Lit Meet as usual! See you there! |
Absolutely fantastic!

Sure glad I wasn't driving that bus... ;)

Very nice work! Someone rescue those babies!!! :D |
These diorama threads rock. I am not interested in paintings, sculpture or any of things normal people call art. What you do, I get. Super work !!

Awesome work!
|
Love this stuff!
Question for Rob, when these are sold do you recommend a specific lighting scheme for each piece? It seems like each piece has a different mood that would be best suited to "appropriate" displays. |
Outstanding. They look so real, it's very impressive.
|
Great stuff!!! Just, WOW!
|
looks funny
|
That's awesome as usual. You have a real gift.

Every diorama that I build is different so lighting depends on whether it is a closed or open build. Some of the closed builds like the one above to me looks better unlit and the darker the better or more mysterious. I've built some with the car in the far back corner of the old barn and the car is barely visible and attracts the most attention. The open builds usually just needs an overhead light source to help "pop" the small details like a small light over a painting etc. About half of my builds are lit either battery powered or plugged directly in the wall. An old barn might only have one dim light just to add some mood.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536856956.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536857019.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536857076.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536857120.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1536857291.jpg |
The bullet holes in the VW bus windshield are a nice touch, these are very cool!
