Anyone else having trouble w this site?

It's logging me off every time I leave it or walk away from the computer. Just started today. No problem logging back in but what a PIA. :(

Click the little "remember me?" box.
(next to the loggin fields)

Not sure what it does...but my browser doesn't get logged off after inactivity, and then I would have to re-type name/password again every 15 minutes or so.

Firefox started randomly crashing many times daily and youtube download apps wouldn't work because I refused to download versions above v.57.
They sabotaged their own browser and (free) customers to force upgrade.
Not happy with Firefox these days

Does the same thing to me, on all my devices. I used to always be logged in . Ill try checking that box

Before you log in, Be sure the address bar has https:// before the www. If its not there your browser thinks its an insecure site.

Jolly Amaranto 09-14-2018 02:32 PM

The main Pelican page has the https but when you click on forums the "s" disappears.

JackDidley 09-14-2018 02:45 PM

Hey guys, we're aware of it and are trying to work through a few issues at a time (without crippling the forum in the process). In a nutshell, we have to trick some outdated VBulletin software into being https friendly.

I experience the exact same problems as you do, so trust me when I say that this isn't being overlooked. Thank you for being patient while we sort this out!

I notice in the address bar, it says - "Not Secure".

Anyone else see that?

Admin at Pelican Parts 09-14-2018 04:37 PM

If you're seeing that, give this a shot instead: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/

I just did that......i'll let you know if it cures the problem.
Thanks Chris.

Maybe it is the browser you are using. I use 3 different laptops and 3 different OS. With Windows 7 I use Firefox, XP I use Avast and with Linux I use Palemoon. I stay logged in on all 3.

So far this seems to be working for me. Haven't been logged out since.

Jolly Amaranto 09-15-2018 06:49 AM

That worked for me too.
