The first day of autumn....

....ain't really here yet! It'll be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow and no humidity. Why it waited until after the storm prep/cleanup was completed is a cruel joke ;). My favorite time of year....just one more day....

YAY!

Corn and Beans are already coming off up here! They started harvesting last week. Won't be long and the leaves will start turning and the smells of fall will fill the air.

89 degrees and humid yesterday.....currently sitting in the high 40s, with a forecast for a high of 65. It will be good weather for a local car show/cruise night today, finally.

Maybe now, I can start on my log splitter, and some outside building projects that I haven't been working on due to the unrelenting 90+ temperatures this Summer.

So looking forward to the change of season, tired of being holed up in the afternoon heat.
Lots of projects waiting for me. New roof and siding on the shop.

Plus I'm wanting to expand my wandering around this new to me countryside, in the Non AC Porsche. Some nice country roads are calling.

Cheers Richard

We set a record high of 95 on Thursday. Yesterday was a high of 65. Just woke up this morning and it's 43. The maples are starting to change to red, the ashes are turning yellow and leaves are already on the ground blowing around. It is a welcome relief to this miserable hot and humid summer and I love it. The best time of year!

Yeah, they're not doing so well this year. New coach and new team so they're still trying to figure things out I guess.

I really like days like this. Warm but not uncomfortable. Allows me to get grass cut & watered, weeds pulled, patio cleaned, maybe plant a tree, do an LOF on my wife's car, and get close to finishing the coil over conversion on my rear suspension.

Hot and humid in the Houston area, although the past 2-3 weeks have been a little cooler (probably 5° or so on average). I just spend the last 8 days in Washington state between Seattle and Roslyn/Ronald where the temps were fantastic. We actually had sunny weather and clear skies almost the whole times we were there. We actually would have preferred more cloud cover, but it was very nice. It's the weather that we'll probably have in November - March.

Pic taken at 730 this evening. Temperature is 1C or 34F. Not sure if snow is staying or not. If it goes I will be golfing this Tuesday!:) See what you are missing! In the meantime Ottawa, Ontario had a tornado yesterday.
