Show us your Die cast collections

Just wondering how many here indulge in the die casts...

No pic...but I have only one I really care about. The bottom plate reads: "No32 Jaguar XK140 Made in England by Lesney."

Probably worth zilch to collectors, but priceless to me because mom placed it atop my 16th birthday cake. I found it, cleaning out the old home after both parents were gone. Still has bits of old cake frosting stuck in it's wheels...

A local MD had a Jag I was gaga about...Mom cared enough to find that little car. Means a lot...

There are a few guys here that have either had them or still do. There’s one guy, can’t remember who (RKT), that had at least one entire room full of them. Do a search and I know you should be able to find more than a couple of threads on die cast.

Here’s a good one.

Here are some of mine, I bought these about 20 years ago and never took them out of the box. I thought I would put them together but they look too good like this. Plus some Buick and F1 die cast.

I indulge, been collecting 1 43 scale for a few years,

Wish I'd started much earlier as I only buy cars I've worked on, must have over a 100 now

Bought this tonight, only have 2 more to go and think I then have every McLaren F1 GTR livery

Not a display as such just my latest buys waiting until I get around to building a display case in my man cave

I've got fifty or sixty. I tried to keep to a theme, all German cars, all silver color.

I have a couple of exceptions, The McLaren F1 has a German engine, so I took that liberty, and I couldn't find an M1 BMW in silver, so I settled for grey. If I had RKT's skills, I'd take it apart and paint it but I know if I tried, I'd just eff it up;

Yeah.....Still haven't kicked the habit! Out of the 1000+ Porsche models only about 300 left. Occasionally putting a few on ebay or taking them to the LA Porsche Memorabilia Meet every March, and using a lot of them in my dioramas.

I’ll try to post some pics tomorrow. Franklin Mint, which became Danbury Mint, and now I think has another name used to send me review copies of all their truck and tractor models. I have dozens. I’ve also picked up interesting little toys here and there.

My two sons and I have collected a lot of diecast cars, mostly hot wheels, matchbox and Tomica, my favorites are the early Lesney cars.
My five year old loves them and has been ‘making them cool’ with paint markers!
I’ve managed to keep him away from the rarer on s though.

20 years ago I was spending a lot of my spare time building models. Life and then a divorce changed that.

Revival are still around and they still manufacture in Italy.
