Washington folks, which peaks are these?

I was driving back from Mt St Helens, and was on 82 or 90 most of the way back up from the Yakima area to the Cle Elum area. These stood out as quite different from most of the rest.

Cool, thx, they really stand out compared to the other stuff in the area. They are much more jagged and imposing looking even from a distance.

Yes, they're not that high (under 10k feet) but are very rugged looking...
And, of course, tree-line is much lower that far north.

Spectacularly good granite. Wife and I climbed the ridge on the left for our honeymoon.

North side has big vertical sections, is one of the best climbing peaks that there is.

The peak to the right of Stuart is Sherpa. Sherpas true summit is a 35 foot boulder. Super awesome!

I was able to meet Bob ad his wife when we started the UAS business out of Wenatchee a few years ago (since sold).

Great spot and there are some really neat towns in the area, Roslyn, Ellensburg, etc.

Absolutely. Our stay in this corner of the US has the missus trying to figure out how we can move there.

You're welcome anytime KC. Seahawk and Joe Bob have been here. Steve stayed at my cabin last week, but didn't get to meet him as I was on a six day MC trip (2nd one this month).

Some beautiful lakes up in the Stuart Range: (We get lots of Search/Rescue calls up that way. Last winter, in 8 days, we had 5 killed in Avalanches within a 11 mile radius)

My wife and I are headed out next summer to find a place to buy. The farm is paid for and we could use the tax break frankly.

Quick Sea Story (I may have related this before):

We had a meeting with one of the Public Utility Districts to bid a power line project with UAS when we were getting started.

We were meeting in Ephrata. I got there early and pulled into one of those parking lot drive through coffee places. I get to the window and the two women working the place, one probably 40 the other a few years younger, were exceptionally beautiful. Stunning in the best possible way.

They were also funny and engaging. I thought it was an episode of Punked.

I have driven Eastern Washington many times to very rural areas. I'm in.

We have two very different mountain ranges visible from Seattle. The Cascades are shown in the pictures here. The Olympic range is different. Comparatively, the Olympic range is more jagged. Both ranges are stunning.

Though I rarely seem to find the time to backpack, this area has to be among the finest in the world. Certainly in terms of variety, aesthetics and sheer volume of trails and areas to explore.
