man. i HATE FedEX.
3 for 3!!
3 for 3!!! they have messed up three straight times now. i get the "bing!" your package is delivered! left on doorstep. fine, except i ship everything to work and we have a front desk lady that signs for everything. this is the 3rd straight time i have gotten that message..nothing left on any doorstep. last two times, it eventually shows up. i wouldnt even say WE HAVE A DOOR STEP! this time, i already started the replacement process..screw them if they both show up. i'll return one at BedBath and Beyond in person. i get nervous when i order something and get a FedEx notice that it is on the way..crap. what a PIA. |
Are you sure it's not the driver himself? They are the ones that mark things delivered when they aren't so they get their deliveries-per-hour quota made to get premium benefits. Have a chat with FedEx and tell them what's going on. You can be sure you aren't the only one that has this problem on this particular route.
We used to have nothing but problems with UPS until we got a new driver. No problems since. Same with USPS. Had an old hag that would only deliver on our street (mile long dead end with block long hilly driveways) twice a week because she didn't want to walk up the hills to the mailboxes on the houses. Again, got a new driver and no problems since. |
My friend ordered a set of tires for my Cayman through his source. Three weeks later, Fed Ex claimed they somehow lost the tires and aren't able to trace it. So, I got another set another week later. I bet the first set is sitting on someone else's car or for sale at the local swap met.

I have a Ring doorbell, it has a motion sensor.
I have no idea why, Fedex walked up to my door and put a post it note / sticky thing on there that there was no answer at the door and it had to be signed for. My wife was home. He never rang the bell or knocked just walked up stuck the note and left. I saved the video and called the office and asked why it was so hard to knock? No real answer other than they knew exactly who the driver was and it would be dealt with. I told them to hold the package and I would come get it the next day. |
I also noticed that the UPS drivers are much more polite drivers over all. Fed EX, not so much, they make illegal u-turns in the middle of the street causing people to slam on their brakes and get into yelling matches with drivers. Block narrow streets thinking their delivery pf that ;package is life and death even though there are packing spaces all around. Dicks

Our UPS guy pulled up beside me while i was in the backhoe ditching alongside the road last week and said my wife wasn't home to sign for a package. So i signed for it.
No idea how he knew who i was. |

They all equally suck

If you have a choice, use UPS. (I own stock)SmileWavyhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538535527.jpg

It is your driver. Mine is a hot blond. She makes sure nothing gets left on the truck and generally knocks if she thinks I am home. She waves when she drives by and I am not getting a delivery. Better service from the USPS lady. Not as pretty but has great boobs.:D:D

I like Amazon's private delivery service. Not only do you get the text and everything, but they take a photo of the box on your doorstep and send it to you! AND, for about 30-45 minutes before the actual delivery, you can track the driver. So, you know when he's getting there, and where he put the box when he did get there.
That's what they all need to do. Service is king these days, price deals, etc mean nothing. |

Nothing but FedEx, if it can't go FedEx, I don't send it (unless an envelope for something absolutely tiny).
I'll probably jinx myself, but 9 years, and only one package astray and I got a check for it almost instantaneously. I'm not a big shipper, but it's 3 to 5 boxes a day, which over time is thousands since I've been with them. Also, my rates are incredible. I hate UPS and USPS..... |

he didnt expect me to whip up such a s-storm. i had his supervisor on the phone at one point. now i am hold trying to cancel the replacement order..grr.. our front desk lady said the guy just tried to push it thru the front door..hahhah. |
Definitely a driver issue. I had multiple issues when my business moved 3 blocks away into the neighboring city. My old Fedex driver was great so I called him when my new driver wouldn't show up. This happened for two weeks, and I was fed up so he told me to complain to Fedex. I made sure to specify I wanted my old driver back by name because he went the extra mile to get me taken care of. A few days later and my old driver took over my stop.

If FedEx merged with UPS, would they be known as "FED-UPS"?
UPS is thinking of starting a floral business. It will be known as "UPS a Daisy"! |

one of the times; the fedex guy put down "UNDELIVERABLE GATE LOCKED", this was during working hours so he was full of S. it was a fill in dude..the next day i chastised our regular guy and he told me he took the day off..it wasnt him. |
Since I work for and own stock in UPS I’d say we have the best service[emoji4]. Unfortunately most of the time it does come down to the individual driver. The new delivery system that UPS has adopted doesn’t help anything either. It’s designed to have as little contact with the customer as possible. No loyalty. It’s a shame.

By far, the worst service is USPS. USPS will drop boxes at businesses when no one is there.

My FEDEX driver sucks. I live on a hill with a somewhat steep driveway. The UPS guy drives his big brown truck up easily. The FEDEX driver always has his dispatcher call me to tell me that I have to pick up my delivery at the local FEDEX store because the driver cannot drive up my driveway. I have asked them if they ever hire men instead of 16-year old boys to be drivers, and I have told them to contact me when he's at my driveway and I'll walk down and drive his truck up my driveway for him. They do not like my humor.

I can't think of any issue I've had with FedEx. Some small issues with UPS, but considering the volume they bring... meh... you get a lazy/stupid delivery person once in a while. |

I don't think you can really say anyone one is better than the other, all three are great and all three suck. I've had phenomenal service by them all and truly catastrophic service as well:
USPS: Someone physically pried the metal caps out a heavy gauge tube and stole a 3.0 crankshaft UPS: Overnighted a set of window frames to CA for Monterey, they were left on the plane, flew back to Kentucky, then back to CA. The worst part was Billing lying about it when UPS on the ground confirmed our suspiscions. UPS also drove a forklift blade directly into a box holding a barnfind perfect 356 door denting it badly UPS also dropped a wooden crate inside a heavy cardboard box hard enough that it damaged the 915 inside I could go on with UPS as I have the most experience with them FedEx did something boneheaded years ago, forget what now. My UPS driver is excellent and a main hub is less than a mile from the shop so they get most of my business. But I'm sure all three are equally bad if you ship with them enough. USPS can not be beat for price and delivery. |
Work from home and get my deliveries there. Have noticed the newish ring and run thing. Have only had to sign for a couple of deliveries. Usually get to my door just in time to see the truck drive off. Thankfully my front porch is big enough and there is enough vegetation that packages are dry and out of the sight of drive by package picker uppers.
If packages start disappearing will start taking the packages in, unload the box, pooper scoop the back yard, repack the box, put it back out on the front porch, and let them thiefs have at it. |
