Tiny nut on that post tightener, strips out all too easily.

The nut shoulders are already rounded.

I'll try to be positive, but it's not easy with such poor engineering.

Steve Carlton 10-03-2018 07:23 AM

At least the stereo or alarm is properly wired.

Zeke 10-03-2018 07:31 AM

That's a negative positive post.

Shaun @ Tru6 10-03-2018 08:17 AM

PARF, where deplorables go to become despicables.

Tervuren 10-03-2018 08:18 AM

Making a post trashing other people.

Who is the toxic one?

MBAtarga 10-03-2018 08:40 AM

This environment is very acidic!

Shaun @ Tru6 10-03-2018 08:44 AM

Acidic. Get the pun but yeah. For years I lobbied for a 1 strike and you are out super-PARF where truly intelligent discussion with some of our great minds could share in an interesting and informative debate. Everyone else can play in PARF.

I completely understand why it never happened but it's nice to dream.

Tobra 10-03-2018 08:48 AM

You could always start a website Shaun

slow&rusty 10-03-2018 09:02 AM

Don't let Jack Olsen see this thread, he will have a polarizing difference in opinion

Shaun @ Tru6 10-03-2018 09:04 AM

Too many projects as it is. I just want to see what people like MRM and others have to say about current topics and join in the discussion. There are a lot of very smart folks here with a vast library of experiences. It's a shame we don't get to interact on that level.

LEAKYSEALS951 10-03-2018 09:04 AM

you need to clean up your post!

pwd72s 10-03-2018 09:53 AM

URY914 10-03-2018 11:16 AM

You say Tesla.
I say Edison.
Let's call the whole thing off....

fast_e_man 10-03-2018 11:18 AM

I see corrosive potential

Bill Douglas 10-03-2018 11:21 AM

A few bright sparks around here.

That battery has a terminal problem.

red-beard 10-03-2018 11:28 AM

I'm a-frayed of that picture

sammyg2 10-03-2018 11:38 AM

I'm shocked at the responses in this thread, so bad it hz.

Terminal.

azbanks 10-03-2018 12:32 PM

I wasn't going to post about this post post but then everyone else had to post their own post posts. So it is a little later than the rest making it my post post post post.

Sorry to have brought up such a highly charged issue.

VillaRicaGA911 10-03-2018 06:44 PM

I am loving all the puns, this post is electric!

VillaRicaGA911 10-03-2018 06:45 PM

It might even be a Direct Connection

VillaRicaGA911 10-03-2018 06:46 PM

Hope it doesn’t meet with too much resistance?

VillaRicaGA911 10-03-2018 06:46 PM

I could go on but I’m drained

dad911 10-03-2018 07:12 PM

must have used a stripper to make ends meet......

wdfifteen 10-03-2018 07:16 PM

Ohm my God! 28 responses, I had no idea this post would generate so much interest!

Are you suggesting the negativity is by design?

WPOZZZ 10-03-2018 08:48 PM

You guys are really punny.

Bill Douglas 10-04-2018 12:27 AM

Shocking really; that a battery thread could spark up so much interest, but thinking about it, it is a current topic for all of us.

Punny, how a simple post can lead to a charge of positivity.
This has the potential to spark into a flame.

KFC911 10-04-2018 02:02 AM

Polarizing thread with no neutral ground? PARFy enough for me :)

What really blows my fuse is thinking about how so many otherwise competent mechanics fail to make the connection between good wiring and vehicle reliability. I see a direct link between the poorly wired primary wire in that photo and bad wiring I have seen in other cars over the years. It seems impossible, but it but it really isn't that hard to lump them all together if you have a good grounding in basic electrical principals.

It's a hot topic though, and sure to bring about much resistance. People are very sensitive about their wiring ability, but it really makes a lot of sense when you get into the flow. Of course you may have an alternate theory, but I prefer to keep it direct.

petrolhead611 10-04-2018 05:46 AM

That's amateurish wiring, not done in a professional garage, probably done at Ohm.
