Smoked Cabrito is really good. Folks in these parts rasie goats for meat. On the 4th of July there are many barbecues that include goat meat.

Ate some goat as a kid. On our small farm, we raised our own beef, pork, sheep, goat, chicken and rabbit meat...........Recall butchering and eating a lot of rabbit......Don't hear of many rabbit eaters either........

No spices. Often fried in lard. Well done. My mother's cooking timer was the smoke alarm..........

Friends father raised goats. Sold most of his product to the folks that make pepperoni for Pizza Hut. More goat out there then you would think....

Expected a GTO thread. Chicken tastes too good to eat goat.

I've only tried goat and rabbit once, both of them were dry and stringy compared to pork or chicken.

I tried horse once, it was course compared to beef but tasted a lot like beef. It did not set well in my stomach though, must be hard to digest.

I suspect goat and rabbit need to be stewed and simmered to break down the fibers and be tenderize. Both meals/meats I had were roasted and a bit gamey compared to the grocery store meat I've been consuming all my life.

I had one of those fat little bastards when I was a kid. Mean as hell, but I loved him dearly. RIP Willy, hopefully nobody ate you. My GOAT.

I fantasize about gnawing on a tasty grilled goat shank now and then.
No, not really.
Had some fantastic pozole made with goat bones when I was in Mexico. Really.
