Inflammation due to Rheumatoid Arthritis has added to my problem. I tried to ignore the locking but every night I would awaken to find my ring finger planted in my palm. Very painful to undo.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1539393525.jpg

That's what happened to me. Rt middle finger got stuck. Two cortisone shots and it kept getting stuck, so I had surgery. Works great as they cut the tendon while you are under sedation. However, I only had one .25" slice along my heart line and it is barely visible. A couple weeks after, it felt great until I put a new front spoiler on my 996tt. Had to bang it to snap in, and boy was it sore!

Earlier this year had my left pointer got stuck and had a shot and all is good. Right ring finger getting stuck now and I need to make an appt to get a shot.

I've had it happen a few times in the last while. Usually happens when I've been working hard (chain sawing trees for 6 hrs in 35C+ heat). My GP said it could be repetitive stress injury and/or dehydration. She told me to not work so hard and drink more water. :)

It started after my MI. I had some sort of blockage in my left wrist which cause a temp difference in the hand. Dr's said it would most likely go away as the drugs worked thru my system dissolving the blockage in my heart but it never did.

I shot a staple into my finger.......don't ask
ever since I have had a trigger finger,
I wore a splint, didn't work, got injection , didn't work, tried a different splint 24 hrs a day for two weeks and is got worse
good luck

Glad I found this thread.....I think. My left (I too am left handed) middle finger (I know) developed this several weeks ago. It’s damn painful all the time and now seem to be migrating to my pointer finger. No way on earth I can live with it. Painful to hold my toothbrush. Opening a door, forget it. Have an appt. this Thursday, hope just a shot does the trick.
