Motion detector porch light conversion
Well to the point, the MD function sux muchly! Can the detection bit be disabled leaving me with a regular on/off porch light?
TIA

I have one that's programmable.
If you turn it on, then off, then on twice, then off sixteen times, then flip the breaker on and off for an hour, sacrifice a chicken you can make it a regular porch light. I just leave the darned thing turned off most the time. One of these days I'll replace it and I'll have fun smashing it with a BFH. |

Have a dusk to dawn porch lite with LED bulb. Think it is 9 watt.
Was going to replace the switch with a timer switch so I could have it turn off at 1am. Then back on in time for the dusk sensor to turn it back on. The killer was, at 9watts leaving it on from 1am to dawn costs so little it would take 2 years for the switch to pay for itself. My intruder motion detector is my Golden Retriever. She only goes off for the front yard at night when someone comes into the yard. The back yard however all sorts of rodents set her off, especially opossum.

I did that about 20 years ago. Just open it up and wire around the motion detector part. Pretty simple.
