RIP Willie Mac
Willie McCovey passed away today at 80. He and the other Willie were my favorites as a kid. I met him a few times and he was a very nice, humble man. A true class act. I'm actually choked up by this. He was a big part of my boyhood.
One story: I went to a game at Candlestick in which he hit a home run over the right field wall into the parking lot. (before they enclosed the stadium) The next day a class-mate claimed that the ball broke his father's windshield. I didn't believe him.

When the Giants come to town,
It's bye-bye baby! When you think the chips are down, It's bye, bye baby! So listen to the broadcast on KSFO Bring on the Giants, and watch them go! When the Giants come to town It's bye, bye baby! RIP Willie, one of my faves (next to Joe Rudi).

Not to be too obscure, but "Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher?" Charlie Brown moans Linus, who, as always, doesn't get it.
