An extra special Craig's list experience
I had a few things up on Craig's list just $20-$30 stuff.
So a guy comes to pick up his $20 item. I load it for him because he is disabled, which he tells me about in detail. "My neck, my this, my that, and then there's this." And he pulls up his shirt to show me his ostomy bag half full of - well, the stuff that goes into ostomy bags. Who the hell does that? |
Gross.
Was that a negotiation technique? |
Well at least he wasn't an azzhole....
|
Good for him. I would be so self conscious I would turn into a recluse.
Clearly he doesn’t let much bother him. Rolling with the punches |
'least he kept the C'bag closed. I worked with a guy that thought it was the peak of high-humor to lift the lid once in a while just so all around him could enjoy the fragrance of the human body's waste fluids.

Well this thread went to shlt in the first post.
|
Yeah that kind of humor just stinks.
|
That was some funny shyte right there!
|
At least he didn't want to show you evidence of his initiation into the "One Gallon Club" down at the sperm bank...
|
It could have been worse , he could have asked you to help him change it

I don't need $20 that bad either ;) |
The guy needs a money clip hanging off his colostomy bag.
"I got yer $20 right here buddy." ..or "I'm short on ones, but I've got a bunch of two's I've been trying to dump right here" |

Change maker though....remember them :)? |
I clicked on this topic just because of the title.
...here I thought there would be a happy ending. |

I think WD got off easy with a colostomy bag. Not sure I could have accepted money from the guy. |
The older you get, the less you give a damn about pretending.
|
Pleasant surprise...

We have hauled tons of stuff to Goodwill, St. Vincent, and the local Rehome place. Some things they just won't take - like a 12 foot oriented strand beam and a 10 foot cardboard tube. Each trip to the dump is $35. When face with hauling it to the dump and paying $35 or putting it on Craig's list and making it someone else's problem, CL wins out. Sold an electric motor yesterday. I put the motor and a coffee can on the porch. Told the guy to put the money in the can and take the motor. Worked out fine. |
