Forced to sell my beloved SC

It's a very sad day indeed. I can't even begin to express my disappointment. But if it means saving my marriage, then it'll be worth it. Someday I'll find another...

island911 03-07-2003 08:43 PM

To paraphrase a really smart guy. . ."c'mon, it's not April 1st"

Mark Wilson 03-07-2003 08:53 PM

Good catch Dr. ilsand.

don911 03-07-2003 08:57 PM

Wasn't that the reason you sold the carrera?

pbs911 03-07-2003 08:58 PM

wtf?

fogcity 03-07-2003 08:59 PM

I'm looking for an sc in that year range. I'm planning on being in SoCal soon.

Axeman 03-07-2003 09:00 PM

What's the reason for selling the 911? In my opinion if a marriage is gonna be saved by selling a car, then you're with the wrong person.
Sorry but I don't buy women's bull*****...
Just my $0.02...

82SC 03-07-2003 09:02 PM

hahaha look at the screen name carefully and post number

MJ

I wonder how long this will last?

pbs911 03-07-2003 09:04 PM

Gentleman, we have a troll. Check out the user name. It is not Todd. He signs on under nostatic, not notastic. I also think he has more than 1 post.

ilsand911 03-07-2003 09:07 PM

nobody pays attention anymore. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/sad2.gif

WAYNE . . . . HELLLLLLP

Next thing you know WJ Shopwork will be posting, or maybe Stuperman.

Tim Walsh 03-07-2003 09:14 PM

LOL I almost wonder if it's the doctor himself pullin' our leg.. that's definitly isn't a serious post

crashr 03-07-2003 09:32 PM

thats hilarious :)

I was getting scared because it was looking as though everybody was selling off their cars. Who would answer my questions then?

nostatic 03-07-2003 09:40 PM

I have already filed suit in federal court for copyright and trademark infringement. While parody is a defense, this clearly was designed to create confusion for you the consumer. Victor's Secret notwithstanding, I'm sure that the settlement check will pay for the RS I've been lusting after.

btw, good one...you had me going out to check the garage. And no, I can't claim credit for this one. Dr. Island?

notastic 03-07-2003 10:44 PM

You know what they say, Todd: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

After your comment regarding the 1980SC ("It's not April 1st..."), I had to have some fun. I just couldn't wait the three weeks to make it truly special.

Island911, you are very observant.

Anyway, it's been fun, but I'll retire the username "notastic" and resume my previous identity.

Take care. Nice car, btw, Todd.

It really was IAN MORTON who made those posts.......

island911 03-08-2003 12:10 PM

"Ian" - huh!? . . .even though I maybe "very observant," I wasn't going to make that observation. . .(seems that's someone elses job)

BTW; the "tip" (in the orignal post) was that it was hugely inconsistant with what nostatic would say now (considering history).

I didn't notice the dyslexic spelling until after reading the post.
. . .so did Ian "pick his time"? (as people likely "had a few" on a Saturday night) . . .or was he just bust'n to post?

The "tip" in who posted . . . well, that's a short list . .. and was given away on "notastics' " second post.
