Continuing medical problem...
and getting nowhere with my PCP. I've posted about this before but can't find the thread.
I have a pain in my abdomen (prolly the long rectus) that I'm 99% sure is muscular. It is virtually absent so long as I don't strain my abs. But if I do sit ups or any other ab strain the pain returns. I've had ultra sound and Cat scan with contrast. Nothing turned up. It's not my kidneys or my colon. My mid section is turning into jelly! I don't know what kind of doctor I should consult now. I know youse guys aren't all doctors but maybe someone has had or heard of something similar?

If it is indeed a Myofascial strain (Muscle sprain) or even a muscle tear you will need to rest it 4-8 weeks and ice it when it hurts. Reinjury during the healing process will just lengthen the recovery period.

When you had the scans and such done, did you just lay there and let them take the pictures? That won't show much since just laying there causes no pain it seems sooooo see if they can do something after you have done a bunch of sit-ups or even better while you do one that causes the pain? Medical people tend to be very close minded on what they do and how they do it.
When I was bicycle racing I did 250 sit-ups in the AM and in the evening another 250 and my "six pac" stayed a "one pac" it seemed but no pain. Now days as old as I am the nurse has to help me get up from the MRI table!!!! |

No I had rested prior to the pics. It is frustrating that I can't find any cause. Plus it is really wrecking my fitness.

It's your health. You need to be firm, and either get PT, scans, or a referral. Depending how your insurance works.

Have you tried the CBD creams?
What Is CBD? CBD is the shortened form of the word cannabidiol. Thank goodness for abbreviations, right? Cannabidiol is one of a group of naturally-occurring chemical compounds called cannabinoids. No abbreviation for that one. Sorry. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is probably the best-known cannabinoid, but others of note are: CBG (cannabigerol) CBT (cannabicitran) CBL (cannabicyclol) CBC (cannabichromene) CBDV (cannabidivarin) All in all, scientists have isolated 113 different cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. We’re going to focus on CBD and how it can be used for pain relief. First, though, let’s discuss CBD creams specifically.
