Spoon value? Rohm 41 mag

Thinking of selling a Rohm 41 magnum that was given to me as a gift maybe 6 years ago. I would rate vg with minor holster wear. Very accurate when I shot paper when I first had it. Just been sitting in a drawer since. I'm thinking value north of 750$?

I did a search on Gunbroker and couldn’t find a match.

Hate to break it to you, but the value of any Rohm of any kind probably wouldn't exceed $75, much less go "north of $750". These things have a horrible reputation. There is much debate over whether they are even safe to shoot. Some say the Model 57, which was chambered in .357, .41, and .44 magnums plus .45 Colt may be of higher quality than the rest of their products. Others say not. Either way, their reputation is sealed. Most shooters I know would decline if you offered to give it to them. Sorry.

So, sorta like cheap Tiawan made pool cues and Mustangs?

The comments I read when doing the search, and the values of Rohm's I could find, were exactly has you described.

I was interested because I had never heard of the brand.

Sorry, AZ.

Lock Stock and Barrel Investments has a couple Rohms up for auction right now. With only seven hours left on a 14 day auction, none are above $75. Apparently, they don't even have any "wall hanger" value.

Just called it RG at the pawn shop. Wasn't sure how to pronounce rohm :(

You are correct in regards to the model 57 in terms higher quality over the cheaper 22, and 38 offerings... It's quite evident if you handle the spoon. As for value. The 41 mag is rare in itself, and to base its value off of the cheaper 22lr and 38 Saturday night specials that they offered is biased (that is in today's standards new 22lr, and 38 revolvers are sub 300$). As for the reputation, it's my understanding that RG stands for rotten gun. In fact it was a 22 RG that was used to shoot Reagan.

I've never gone cheap on guns, just doesn't seem like the place to save $$. :)

Not my bias - I only reported on it because you asked. "Don't shoot the messenger." ;)

The market is what it is on these things. Even with the M-57 being their "best", and the .41 mag being their "rarest", it still amounts to the well set-up Trabant of the shooting world. Sorry.

Neither have I. I have nothing into this piece. I really don't have a need for a magnum cartridge either. I hump a PPQ when I go out to the trails, and often then I'll have rifle with me.

Anyways I've seen some posts from 6 to 8 years ago with a price for 500-600$.
