Concentrate and don't get angry, everything is in your hands

Yep, I got the "we caught you on a porn site.., we have video of you doing... " blah blah blah.

Except, it came in through my e-mail catch-all and it was for one of my employees...a woman...

The addresses were all not quite correct and there were three e-mails, each extorting a different amount.

Would like to email them and tell them I am in the Porn industry and it would be good advertising for them to distribute any film or pictures of me. Unless they show me with a tiny member like you Chinese have then I will do my best to sue them for misrepresentation and trying to ruin my brand image.

I'm told people fall for this ****, so you know, if you email 1000 people and get one hit, might be worth it.

And they sent it to a at least 3 email addresses in my domain. It costs nothing to send thousands of emails

If a person was to pay that extortion, they would be targeted by every unscrupulous character on the internet....it's how they operate. Selling lists of names is as profitable as the scams themselves, especially if you are on a victim list.

Just responding to the email allows them to make money as a certified email address now.

red-beard 11-06-2018 09:01 AM

I just posted a thread and it isn't showing up in the list. But I can access it, sort of...

OK, the one with the Number title finally showed up in PARF, but the above still doesn't register.

Self-abusing.........lol.

Ugh, I have an elderly friend who in the past year paid money to the "Microsoft tech" who remotely helped scrub the evil virus from his computer, and just this past week had some dude pull him over in his car, because "your wheel is loose, it's about to fall off, I'm a mechanic, I can fix it". The dude then convinced him to drive to an ATM and pull out $200 to pay for the repair.

Yes, people fall for this crap. He unplugged his computer for 5 weeks because the Microsoft "tech" was calling him DAILY asking for more money since he didn't get to finish the job, so he decided to just unplug the computer. He did let the "tech" access his computer via remote desktop, so the dude knew every time he logged on.

SMH, why are people so stupid, and gullible. My wife's Grandmother lost 2 homes from sending money to "down on my luck" individuals who somehow found her address, and email. She would fall for every scam out there....my inlaws finally had to yank her computer away from her, and take over her finances.
