Sounds like a modern engine compartment. Seems like you used to be able to remove most parts of an engine without having to take apart the whole front end of the car, now things are so tightly packed thanks to CAD, that it is impossible.

Replacing water pump:
Begin by removing left front suspension components. Reference section "Removing Transaxle" for access...

Starting to see these all over. People using it to prototype parts that they would have had to take to CNC shops to make. Now you print in in plastic, test fit, then send the model out once satisfied...

Have a guy that does this for me for brake caliper brackets.
