Also haven't smoked in decades and no desire to pick up the bad habit... but...
My neighbors are mostly construction workers and I smell them puffing after work...
One guy has a man cave in his garage, once in a rare while I go over to watch football and be neighborly (when I need furniture moved I stick my head in the garage and they drop everything to come over and help me) when they smoke it doesn't bother me I just pass it on to the next guy.
One day in a lapse of judgement I figured "what the heck, how bad could it be."
