Once again iTunes is pissing me off
I just tried to listen to some of my music. After the latest update - it's gone. Some entire albums are gone. I bought the vinyl version of the one I wanted to listen to back in '69 or '70. Broke down and bought the CD version 20 years later. I copied the CD to my computer as MP3s about 8 years ago and uploaded it to my iPad. Now it's gone. If I want to listen to it again, I have to buy it a 3rd time from Apple. That ain't right.

I wonder if the files are gone or if they are there, but just not showing up in the app.

I find it difficult to use.
But my hand me down ipod was free. If I were going out to buy a music player I would avoid apple. |

People still pay for music????? Isn't that what youtube/mp3 converters are for? 😎

There are different business models, I tend to listen to, and subsequently buy the music of those that tend to make it available whether you buy or not. We don't want our favorite artists to starve out and die. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1542211784.jpg |
Without reservation I will say iTunes software is the WORST program I use. Insane interface, and I can't do the logical things like look at a photo, and delete it. It just SUCKS as a program. I like my iPhone, but I hate iTunes. If I could back up my phone to my computer any other way I would.
Apple must wok really hard to make such a horrible program for Windows users. I use Win 10 Pro for my computers, since almost all the programs I use require Win 10 Pro. |

I can't believe Apple has such a lousy interface and functionality. Does anyone else with multiple users on the same PC (wife and I share the home PC) - have to hold down the Shift button when starting iTunes to select their own Library to use? We were told that is the solution for having more than one user on the same PC sharing the iTunes application! |
It's probably not gone just hiding. I found that when they spent billions on that stupid music deal that they force you to go to their Radio subscription. I have to find my way out of their maze to get to my music including the CD's I've added.

The iTunes experience is very different between pc and Mac. The Mac version is much better.
If you have a library of music (or videos) you wish to put on an Apple device look into a program called “any trans”. It’s a much simpler interface and very straightforward. I bought it after getting frustrated with iTunes.. much happier. You still need iTunes installed and up to date as since any trans piggybacks on it. |
Lost all my songs I downloaded from Napster. They just disappeared after apple upgrades. 😡

I still buy and listen to my music on CD. I've always found MP3s to be too "lossy" a format. I also feel like the vendors of "virtual" music can take it away from me at will.

And that, my friends, is why I will have Win7 computers with external redundant storage as long as possible. My data. Mine.
With people losing irreplaceable family videos and whatnot, I'm surprised Apple hasn't gotten the lawsuit beat out of them yet. What happened to that 'automatic iCloud backup" anyway? |
