In my hometown of Paterson NJ there is/was our favorite sledding hill...E25th St. It was too steep to be safely plowed so was closed to traffic most of the winter. We took over and had too much fun. But we neglected the cross street at the bottom of the hill which led to some very, VERY close calls. However no one ever came to stop us from sledding. Guess we were expendable:confused:

RE: Wearing dark clothes and crossing the street... late at night... wearing a hoodie... crossing in the middle of the street... not looking at traffic...

A couple times a year one of these guys gets hit... community goes into a uproar "everyone slow down!!!" A politician will use it as a photo opp to get a new stop sign/light installed.

A couple months go by and another one of these guys get hit.
