Any Ray Donovan Fans?

I am totally hooked on Ray Donovan on Showtime. Direct TV allows me to watch every episode since season 1. Bad ass doesn’t even come close to describing his character. A fixer, a thug, a ladies man, a loving parent and brother. He is the closest thing to mafia along with his accent and family. Love his Benz. Just like him, menacing, powerful and aggressive. Now starting season 3 with 3 to go. The Mrs can’t watch because she has an issue with violence and nightmares.... oh well. I feel like it is watching a never ending s storm where I like, pity and despise the guy all at the same time.

My wife and I really liked the first two seasons. But somewhere in the third or fourth season we lost interest...

Been a fan since the beginning. I thought it may be over at season 5, but I guess they are going to keep going. Season 6 is pretty good so far. The family is a train wreck. It never gets any better. John Voight is so perfect for his part.

Agree.... the move to NY opens up a whole nother world but Abby and Avi are definitely missed.

Oh crap, Abby disappears too? At the end of season 2 Avi, the man with a little conscience, disappears which is a real loss. Really liked his “charactah”.

Big fan, yet to see the new season. I didn’t really like Abby. I liked the character Elliot Gould played, too. Interesting family issues for sure. Loved the green peeping Tom.

I realized what a political geek I am when I first heard the show being promoted on the radio. I wondered why someone made a series about Reagan's secretary of labor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_J._Donovan I quickly realized it was a different Ray Donovan.

Back on topic, the wife and I are looking for a new series and this one looks promising. Is it worth getting in to, or is there anything too graphic? We do like Peaky Blinders by comparison.

Wife and I both really enjoy Ray Donovan, it is similar to Peaky Blinders as far as violence, etc.

This is off the wall, but one of my favorite series ever was Carnivale from 15 years ago. It was expensive to make and didn't take off in the US like it did overseas, so it only ran two seasons for 24 episodes. Watch the pilot and you'll know right away if you like it or not.

Wonder how many look a like black Mercedes sold during the series? If I had the coin, I would have bought one.

Yeah, he said he wanted a "decent" car. I would have been pissed. And it is black, at least.
