Happy birthday.

You won't get past a buck and a quarter. Your kidneys will be done then. Who wants to be 150 years old anyway?

Thanks guys for the well-wishes and words of wisdom. This past year was really great all the way around, 51 and 2019 is going to be an even better, amazing year, I can feel it.

Funny story about Shaun: he was out here in CA several years ago and in Santa Monica as I recall. His first stop of the next day was TRE in Van Nuys. So he took a look at the map in the motel office, I'm guessing, and sees that Van Nuys is just about due north from SM. He sees Pacific Coast Highway north near his departure and figures, well north is north, right?

Now I don't remember how we got hooked up on the phone that morning, but I was sitting here at my computer when he calls. He was probably near Malibu when 'mebbe this ain't the way' hits him.

I tell him, nope, you're headed up the coast and about as far away from where you want to go as he could have picked. So I'm on Maps and he's calling off landmarks when I see that he's pretty close to Topanga Canyon Rd. Get on that I tell him and be patient as it will eventually end up at the 101 Freeway and he can make it back to Van Nuys with not all that much mileage wasted.

Mileage wasted??!! Shaun inadvertently got to share some of our canyon roads that are made famous through various forums and TV commercials when it comes to canyon carving. Right past Mulholland and the works.

I actually have a pair of wing tips older than me, and I am old.

Well Shaun, when a man loves a woman they have relations that cause another life to be formed... from there it goes year by year.
Happy belated birthday.

Appreciate the lesson!

Truth is that there are only two things that can happen and they’re both bad. You either die young or you get old.

True that! I always say that any day I'm viewing the grass from the green side is a good day

THanks Mike!

You are a reminder of one of my very few regrets in life, that I never moved to Brooklyn when I so easily could.

I'll have to come down this spring. It will be an M491 festival.

Well, to answer your question it comes after 50....there is this number sequence and it is locked in stone/irreversible.

OTOH, as Clint Eastwood recently said..... the 80's are the new 20's...so you have wiggle room.
