Random welding tip
 

Making another dolly for a tub and the plastic lens on the outside of my helmet was in rough shape. That and don't use acetone to clean it. Had some 1/8" plate glass on hand so I cut a small pane out of it and and into the helmet. While you have to be a little more careful with the helmet, glass makes a huge difference in seeing over even brand new plastic. It was striking how much better I could see. Definitely worth the 10 minutes it took to make the glass lens.

That’s one of Shaun’s, you can tell by his signature “S” on the top/bottom bar.

I have a pack of clear glass 2x4.25 for my hood. Put one on the inside and out. The inside is overkill.

When I first looked at this it didn't seem right. Then I worked it out: not enough penetration in the top of the 45 degree weld, left of picture. Did you run out of Argon?
