Got any you like in particular ? i was outside putting my snow plow on, and had to lay on the ground for a few minutes . Fred. I'd look for some water proof slip on overpants/overhauls. just slip them on when needed and when not, just do your business. Plus you won't have to wash the pants you're wearing after each use.

I lay a tarp down for that sort of work. Bib pants and good jacket is what you are after, like the road crews wear, duct tape the ankles if you are feeling froggy

Exactly what I do - search on Gore-Tex slip over pants: I bought surplus stuff for $25 a item. Works for hoodies as well.

I finally had to turn my AC back on today after the temps got up to 77 inside. It was nice having it off for the last 6 days.

Well, it would appear that my 15 month old boy, finished this post , and posted it for me. I started it this morning, and never finished , or posted. We cannot keep him away from the laptop .
Thanks for the replies . Ill look into the goretex slip ons, sounds like they would be great . ill be doing a lot of plowing this year. Last season, seemed like I was always pulling people out of ditches when I would go out early in the morning . Nothing worse than getting wet and soggy right at the beginning of a 12 hour day

Logger pants. I rarely wear long johns...just pull a pair of logger pants over my jeans. Warm and waterproof.

I use Tough Duck overalls, not waterproof, but I try not to lie on the ground.
When I do I have a bit bigger than a 1/4 sheet of PT plywood and a few old floor mats that I use.

Water proof your pants with wax. Many YT's on this. Can't wash them though and I'd stay away from the welding torch. ;) Seriously, you could treat some overalls and put them on when having to work in the wet.

Filson. Not cheap, but not overpriced. So far, their guarantee is good for 120 years (when the business started). Seriously. If a garment needs repair you have two choices. They'll replace or repair. Seattle is Filson's HQ. A friend saw someone bring an old coat in for repair and the
Filson guy exclaimed that it was one of the first ever made. He offered to give the guy any coat in the store plus $500. The guy said no. Repair it. I was my great grandfather's.

For wet conditions, you'd want the 'tin cloth' fabric.
