I had one of those Mohn racks on my '76 coupe. Used it a lot. Left it on year round because it was small and unobtrusive, and a little bit of work to bolt and unbolt. Slight nuisance in that you couldn't open the engine lid when the skis were on.

My brother had some of those Hansen boots in lime green.
He loved those boots and was the easiest guy to find on the hill. Had a similar rack on my VWs. |

I had Scott Superhots, the white ones with the hard plastic cuff, not the rubber cuff. Along with a pair of Bob Burnes' "The Ski" and some Spademan toeless bindings, I thought I was king turd for a while on my local mountain.
(Hint, I wasn't actually. But I skied pretty well.) |
