In the last 5 years we have bought a washer and dryer, fridge, small oven, dehumidifier, and a dishwasher. All mid to high end.

All have had repairs except for the dishwasher and my wife says it doesn't wash worth s##t.

There is Moosehead in there behind the Grolsch... unfortunately nearest Molson is 500 miles from me.

We have a Samsung french/bottom freezer. It was half price since it had a dent in the side of the freezer door. Turns out that was fine since one of the kids tipped a stool into it and put another dent right next to it. It has been fine except the ice maker needs the ice cleaned/scrapped every few months and there has been ice built up under the bottom meat drawer. Our previous fridge was no longer working well and it was 20 years old.

When our washer and drier were on the way out we bought a front loading set that are Samsung also. These were also scratch and dent so we got a good deal on them and they gave us the pedestals to go with them to boot. Turns out the "scratch" was the gummy glue holding the signs on it. Rubbed off easily enough. They work fine.

Our dishwasher (Bosch) is only a couple years old and started throwing codes. Turns out the drain hose had a leak and they could send a tech out to see if it was covered and the tech called first and had us look at it. A mouse had gotten to it. Cost us $20 for the new hose and put it in ourselves. It still washes great and is very quiet.

We ended up with a replacement Samsung over the stove microwave as well. Funny thing is, we did not go looking for Samsung branded stuff. I think most is a crap shoot now anyway.

so the old Norge is on the fritz. Don't make em like that anymore, hard to find parts for them.

Some of you are probably too young to remember Lisa Lubner and Todd....

Success! Took me longer to find the 1/4" socket than it did to replace the board. The programming instructions they sent with the board were for a different model, but I had already found the instructions on the web for my model, and programming was straight forward.

Even though I was swapping out frozen bottles of water in the fridge and freezer, lots of stuff in the freezer thawed out, so I'm going to play it safe and chuck it. I think the Jagermeister is still good.

Congratulations!

Feels good to fix stuff and it adds to your knowledge base for the next broken thing.
