My workaround was to throw the manual way and assume Samsung doesn't now what they're doing.

I just use normal tv speakers for news and when I'm feeling risque I turn on the soundbar with the remote- which incidentally looks identical to the TV one. Wonderful in the dark.

My only reason for a soundbar was to "attempt" to get classic youtube music videos from my phone (on a rare occasion) to the TV...not gonna happen this way. That said, I am no longer using my vintage Polk SDA 170 lb speakers....they used to be my front mains....ya need two amps pushing 1k watts each to make 'em drop yer jaw though....and they will :)

They are no longer needed....and they rock.
I still have others ;)

I have this image in my mind of your house lights dimming to the beat of your speakers with all that power being pulled in, LOL!
