Help with a Wells Fargo pension....

One of banks I used to work for (Wachovia) was absorbed by WF ten years ago....

When I left Wachovia over 2 decades ago, I deferred my pension until I reach 65 (huge mistake...but I digress). It ocurred to me that I've never recieved a single mailing...ever.

Other pension plans send out annual reports, etc.

Trying to get in contact with anyone in WF that knows doodly-squat about old Wachovia stuff (loans, etc.) was bad enough 5 years ago...virtually impossible I found out.

Is there anyone here on the inside of WF that can get me a contact #, or provide any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

They destroy old data on purpose to limit liability in the future.

With that said first place I would check in Wells Investments- the direct #

You should contact Wells Fargo’s HR department and ask to be directed to someone who can help you with a pension question. If the Wachovia bankruptcy didn’t wipe out their pension liabilities the HR department will be responsible for administering legacy pensions. It is seriously illegal for WF to destroy records and hide pension beneficiaries.

I will contact them eventually. Wachovia never went under....but was "merged" into WF long after I left. I don't think WF wants anything to do with my old outfit....can't blame them .

When I was with the original Wach...it might have been the best run, highly regarded bank in the USA. Then it wasn't

Thanks!

It looks like Wells Fargo's retirement Services department will take care of you. Here's a link to the 2017 retiree benefits booklet.

https://teamworks.wellsfargo.com/benefitsbookspd/2017/Retiree_BenefitsBook.pdf

From the booklet:

Retirees of the former Wachovia
Corporation and its subsidiaries who
retired before January 1, 2010
If you have questions about whether an
individual is an eligible dependent, call the
Wells Fargo Retirement Service Center at
1‑877‑HRWELLS (1-877-479-3557) to speak with
a representative.

Wow...thank you! I should've done my own homework instead of visiting PARF . But....that's also what makes this board special and why I asked here. I appreciate you taking the time....awesome

Couldn't you at least call them on his behalf and get him a check or something?
