Works in Bing too. Must be true.

Maga!!

astrochex 12-13-2018 03:05 AM

No bias at Google, nope, none at all.

911_Dude 12-13-2018 03:19 AM

Its almost as if millions of people associate the name Trump with idiot. Strange.

Tervuren 12-13-2018 03:25 AM

This country could use more idiots I guess.

Jims5543 12-13-2018 03:29 AM

Maybe watch news other than CNN.

Goggle is in DC right now answering some tough questions as to why they bend algorithms in order for that to happen.

If you add an "s" on the search....does a PARF "group photo" appear ;)?

Jims5543 12-13-2018 03:38 AM

Or maybe not use google who is admittedly biased.

Wow! Look at the difference in results.

Jims5543 12-13-2018 03:39 AM

Yes, then you use a different search engine and it changes.

Wanna buy a bridge, I have one for sale.

911_Dude 12-13-2018 03:52 AM

Duckduckgo??? Maybe a few thousand people ever use that. And when I used the provided link above I still got a bunch of pics of the idiot #1.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider the questions they were asking as "tough". Some were actually, quite, how shall I put it.....lacking in knowledge, just to be kind?

If Google did manipulate the search, which I have seen no proof, it would be a bit childish in my opinion, but hey, their company to do as they wish, and your prerogative to use them or not.

Sorry I am not Kachi so I do not have 10 hours to spend researching the topic and posting 100's of links and graphs.

The evidence is out there and overwhelming that Google screws with logarithms and is biased. They even said in their Friday weekly meeting after Trump was elected they were going to fix this. There is a video proving this and there are internal memo's between higher ups supporting this as well. Go look I have seen them.

You can go on blissfully ignorant this is not happening, I am not here to fight with you.

I still use Gmail, google maps etc.... despite this because I am a hypocrite that does not have time to switch away. One day I shall. Possibly in January since I tend to slow down then and have more free time.

Just because you are not familiar with Duck Duck go does not mean it is not being used. I use it and noticed a big change in my search results.

Enjoy your day fellas I have to run and get s out in the field now.

I'm going to have to call you a liar unless you can provide proper citation.

From where I sit you just look too lazy to back up your claims.

You want to know how these results are generated?

People, lots of people have a consensus.

There is one case I know of where search results were slanted for a cause.

Campaign for the neologism "santorum"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campaign_for_the_neologism_%22santorum%22
Quote:

Savage announced the winning entry, which defined "santorum" as "the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex". He created a web site, spreadingsantorum.com (and santorum.com), to promote the definition, which became a top internet search result, displacing the senator's official website on many search engines, including Google, Yahoo! Search, and Bing.[4]

To set the record straight. I do not watch the news. I click on aoHell and Fox, scan the headlines and IF there is some thing I'm interested in.....I'll look into it.

As to the Google idiot results. What did you expect? Buncha HS and Frat hijinks at work.

Imagine how dumb the average person is, and then realize half the people are dumber than that (the ones you referred to).
