Need ideas to keep people off my grass
 

I seem to be losing the battle of keeping this corner of my yard looking nice. There is a little stacked stone roundabout just behind this photo and delivery trucks and contractors use it to turn around after they have dropped stuff off. Inevitably someone will cut the corner too close and ruin my grass and it takes me months to make it look right again. I've tried "Keep Off The Grass" signs and little marker stakes to keep people off it but I have to move them to mow and they don't look much better than a rutted yard. I've thought about boulders but those would be troublesome to mow around and would involve moving some irrigation heads around.

Any other ideas?

Cement (or flagstone) curbing holding back a small rockgarden.

I had exactly the same problem and used rock. I placed 4 nice looking rocks (about the size of footballs) roughly about a foot and a half apart...almost exactly in the track. Fixed the problem...but I do have to move them a foot or so to mow and then put the back (but it is pretty easy as they roll). They are not tall enough to effect irrigation. You could also put a wrought iron bench there or some small plants/bushes, but a little father back. Folks don't seem to mind driving on your grass (as if it is not a foul)...but keep a respectful distance from other things.

...or, you could sit out there with an AR-15 and look belligerent.

My neighbor has the same problem down the street so had had his gardener put about 8 larger boulders right at the edge of his lawn. I see a couple of rub marks from larger vehicles. It actually looks good on his place, but not sure about yours?

I'd call the cops.

A decorative spike strip might work. “CAUTION, LAWN CONTAINS SPIKES, Proceed at your own risk”.

Large rocks are a far better idea.

IMHO, it seems like the best solution is to remove the affected turf area and pave with asphalt to match up with the existing roadway.

The suggestions of boulders isn't very practical because invariably, they will get hit by delivery vehicles and then you have another problem.

Boulders

Fill the red area w/ some river rock, gravel, or fill rock. That corner has been missed so much the dirt off the pavement is just gone and useless. Gonna keep getting worse.

Do something like put down railroad ties or a field rock and mortar wall - not too tall - where the outer black line is kinda located. Then fill with decent dirt to where it is level with the bottom of that rock wall already there or the height where the inner black line is, and put in a bunch of appropriate plants/flowers/weeds.

Sacrifice a few square feet of yard space, add a nice border that defines where they definitely don't want to drive, add some color.

Oh, and tell the damn dog to move - its his fault if the drivers have to go off the road to avoid hitting him

Your call. I'd go with the sign.
One thought on widening. I'd be willing to bet if you widen it, you'll still have people driving in the grass. You'd be amazed at how people with a trailer or bigger delivery trucks watch their mirror when they know there's a couple boulders on their blind side.

I would widen the road there with asphalt and make the curve more gradual and the road at that point wider.

Like I said in my previous post.....that little area looks a little too "bottle-necked" for delivery vehicles.

Either post a sign out by the road prohibiting trucks past a certain size, post a sign by that area and see if it helps, or widen your drive just in that one spot.

After your pics of your nice landscape, changed my mind. Pave it or crushed rock against a border.

Bingo...that lawn portion just screams "drive on me".

Now that I've seen the bigger picture, I agree with all of those who say the curve needs to be opened up more towards the wall and just pave it with asphalt.
