Craigs list is slowly fading because people are using facebook marketplace. I do not but my friends do. I still like C list. I only list a land line and type it in the ad in a way that the bots do not pick it up. I space the digits out and use Os instead of zeros. Eventually I will have to get a facebook account just for selling I guess.

What I hate about Craigslist is all the keyword spamming. I was bored one day and tried to look up XKE's; no Jaguar's but the search turned up tons of other late-model, low-end cars due to keywords. Also tons of "I want to buy classic car" flipper ads. On top of that, what is the point of listing the same car with 15 different ads?

craig's list save me about 5k on my roofing job by finding new materials at builders close outs or change orders and used tools
yes there are lots of scams and BS but patience and frequent checking will yield results I have had good results in buying cars there also I got a non-runing 944 for a grand that needed a broken wire reattached to run/drive and about 1/2 dozen volvo's red blocks every thing from an 66 122s to a 90 745 turbo and a free lazer2 sail boat complete with every part got the love free section |

And the fact that you know the identity of whom you are dealing with (and all their friends) makes it a game changer. |
Refuse to use FB due to all their data privacy issues as well as “ The Tweeter” and Instagram. The only “social networks” I use are car forums. Guess I am screwed unless I want to get screwed by FB.

I am two for two here on Pelican WTB postings.
Both items I received scammer contacts. No issues on member to member on RL. Pelican may need to find a better way to police newbies |

Craigs list it still works for me even though it is not what it once was. I have done some good deals on Corvette forums but not lately and if needed I would deal on Porsche forums and not worry. I buy on ebay but it is no longer a good option for the individual seller. |
Make a burner fake account on FB,
list your car, then delete the account/cookies from your computer |
Been selling/buying for years on CL.
Last few years I always put. No Emails NO SCAMMERS The amount of scammers has almost disappeared compared to years before. |
