Source for gold bullion

I would like to by some 1 oz gold coins. Gifts for my wife's Indian relatives.

Lots of sources online. Can anyone recommend a reliable source?

Also, if the coins could have "Allahu Akbar" imprinted on them, that would be great. My wife relatives love that sort of thing. I need about 500,000 coins. Ya know. Holiday gifts.

Run down to your local pawn shop. Haggle them down a little.

I am not on here enough. Is this a parody?

I have a place I use that I found on the US mint website. I would suggest looking there to see if there is a dealer local to you.

I can type more but suspect it is a waste of time.

I have some for sale, but I only sell them in 1,000,000-coin lots.

I've had a good experience with Lear Capital in the past.

Just fly through Dubai and stop at the gold bullion video machines while you are there.

The airport gift shops in Dubai have a LOT of gold you can buy. Typically below market too.

Seems like most of the replies have no clue.

Try:
https://www.apmex.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8P_rqb_B3wIVGHZeCh0fpQasEAAYASA AEgJKlfD_BwE

I have always had good service with APMEX. Even the US Mint is a source of coins. https://www.usmint.gov/

If you are looking to buy old gold coins, even eBay can help. Or coin shops. I got a complete set of 1903 gold coins off eBay a couple years ago. All in MS64 condition too. A 20$, 10$, 5$, 2.5$ and a 1$ commemorative. I got the 1903 series 'cause that was the year my dad was born. I am still working on the 1920 series for my mothers birth year. I even picked up a 1795 offset bust silver dollar off eBay for 3K but is worth around 8k today.

Find out what years your wife's relatives birth years are and get those years. May take a bit of looking, but they are out there. Except 1933. That is when the fed stopped the gold standard and got everyone to turn in their gold for silver. Not sure when the gold coins were once again minted.

Also, go here to look up values:
https://www.pcgs.com/

If you are interested in gold bars, APMEX is a good place to look. Take a look at the PAMP gold. Top quality Swiss gold of which you will pay a premium. They even have a 1 kilo gold bar for $41,944.43. Paint it black and use it for a door stop.

I’ve got some 1883 No Cents nickels. I’d let them go for the going price of bouillon. :D

If ya just want "anything" (bullion, Eagles, Buffalos)....yer local coin shop or "metal exchanger" is probably cheapest, if they have them. Maple Leafs and Krugs are all I used to see for the most part....above spot varies widely too. Coins are a different matter...

red-beard 12-28-2018 07:45 AM

I use https://www.providentmetals.com

But you know it is not legal for the relatives to own gold, if they are in India.

They are good for old coins, if looking for something specific. Prices are higher. They do sell "dime bags"....SmileWavy

KFC911 12-28-2018 10:00 AM

I've just used them for specific dated Eagles and Buffalos, etc. and a buddy has a small diversified collection of .9999 1oz bullion coins from all over....pretty stuff. .Methinks as a "gift".... those might be cooler....Buffalos or .9999s...jmo.
