Please, donate to help fight Multiple Sclerosis! Riding the Houston MS150

We're cycling for a world that will someday be free of MS!

My wife and I have both signed up for Bike MS – a fundraising ride that changes the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. We are going the distance with our training and commitment, and I hope we can count on your support as we prepare for this incredible experience.

We’ve set ambitious goals because we know that with support from great people like you, we can get there!

MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease. But money raised through Bike MS fuels cutting-edge MS research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives.

Please help us reach our goals and surpass them!

Anything, even the cost of your favorite coffee drink would help. I'd love to see the missus get more donations than me. Even if you don't or can't give, please feel free to provide our information to anyone that you think can or may donate.

Is my contribution tax deductible?
If you itemize on your tax return, cash contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (where no goods or services were received) are fully deductible to the extent of the law. Contributions to the Chapter qualify for the charitable contributions deduction to the extent provided by Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Northwest Chapter is a 501(c)(3) charity so your donation is tax deductible as permitted by law. Our TIN/EIN is 13-5661935.

How will the money from my donation be used?
Donations are used to fund comprehensive and vital programs and services for people living with MS and their families in Wisconsin. From care management, to financial assistance, to educational, wellness and recreational programs, to advocacy and a national call center, your contributions make it all possible.

A portion of all donations is used for nationwide initiatives like research. Thanks to support from donors like you, the Society was able to invest more than $54 million in 380 new and ongoing research studies in 2015. Your continued support is key to paving the way to understanding the disease, developing better treatments, and finding a cure.

My thanks to both of you. You see, Cindy has MS. I know I'm not the only one here who has been touched by the disease. Hoping for a cure in our lifetimes...Hope you reach your goal. I just give directly...

masraum 12-28-2018 10:07 AM

Absolutely, no worries, Paul. I wouldn't expect Jim B to give either. You are both so much more involved than any donation.

My wife has MS too, it sucks.

Thanks for what you are doing.
Steve

Wow, that makes at least 3 PP folks with wives with MS. And I just saw that 46 year actress Old Selma Blair was diagnosed in Aug. I guess they think she's had it for 15 years.

Hi, folks. It's me again. Now that everyone is back around after the holiday, I thought I'd give this a bump. The missus could really use your support. I'm in the lead. I'd love (and I'm sure she would too) for her to get more donations than me.

masraum 01-08-2019 05:37 PM

Nothing, nada, zilch?

Come on guys, at least donate to the cute one. I'd love to see the missus get more donations than me!

The good news is that I've got almost 4 months left to remind you all over and over and over again.

Joanna, my wife has MS. She's 54 can't use any muscle other than some in her neck and her mouth. It's cost us greater than $100,000.00

It's killing my lifting her and taking care of her. I will be dead before my time.

**** MS.

Jim, have you and Joanne received any sort of assistance from the National MS Society or any MS support group?

I make a decent living. My way of giving is by not taking what someone else really needs.

Jim, I hope you don't mind. This is a larger version, and a photo that you have previously posted to the forum (which is where I found this larger version). You guys look great! Joanne is a beautiful lady.
