You are going to make pie right? Be a shame to let that go to waste.

stevej37 01-05-2019 11:16 AM

It's marinating....a bit tough otherwise imo.

It is marinating in the sun now, on the other side of the fence. Mrs. Beard was not amused

Came out in one piece? Nice.

I always loved toads that died in the pool in my Houston days.

I you don't get them quickly they just turn into dust when you try to fetch them out.

After we closed on our house that backs up to a field, we stopped by the house to marvel at our new purchase only to find 3 large rats floating in the pool.

We haven’t had any more rats but we’ve had plenty of frogs, mice, worms, birds and snakes.

And every Lab that sees it.

Very sad.... :(

+1 I feel ya.

The death of any possum is disheartening. Irregardless of the venue.

450knotOffice 01-05-2019 06:03 PM

It IS sad. :(

freeform911 01-05-2019 07:00 PM

Wait til you get a gator in the pool...always fun😁

Maybe he’s just taking a nap?

I see lots of animals taking naps on the side of the road. Not a very safe place though.

Poor thing probably paddled for hours before it died. Any animal suffering is sad. My dogs have taken out possums before and that's fine - only takes a couple seconds.

I’ve had to lay a 2x6 into our pool to let a swimmer have a way out. He wasted no time using it. He was lucky I saw him b fire I went to work.

There are steps in one corner. It could have got itself out.

Hey - dry it out. Pelican Parts Gift Exchange 2019 is just around the corner!

I'm mortified that "Playing Possum" hasn't come up once in this thread.
