Eddie, I mean Jeff, I want half.... Bezos divorcing!

So just saw the news (link) that Jeff Bezos of Amazon fame and his wife are getting what is described as an amicable divorce. The first thing I could think about is

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6-lqz-Fp0r4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So if you were his wife, would you be satisfied "settling" for $10,000,000,000 or do you go for more? Per the article it sounds like she was there from the beginning so it's doubtful they had a pre-nup, technically, she could get half. Best to keep her happy.

The Synergizer 01-09-2019 07:07 AM

She gets half. That's the way it goes.
Could be good to break Amazon up a little.

masraum 01-09-2019 07:15 AM

Hmm, 10 billion or 80 billion. I'm pretty sure that I'd be OK with either.

red-beard 01-09-2019 07:17 AM

It will be a negotiated settlement.

I'd be amicable too if I was about to get tens of billions and did not have to sleep w that toad anymore.

A local oil man, Harold Hamm wrote his ex wife a check for 978 million. At first the bank would not accept it. They did decided to accept it in the end.

I had a tough time when I wrote the down payment on my house and it was only 5 figures.

Rick Lee 01-09-2019 08:02 AM

Wouldn't he grant her a bunch of stock, and then she'd be on the hook for the taxes when she sold it?

speeder 01-09-2019 08:41 AM

Some lawyers are buying new Ferraris for their secretaries over this one.

When we were newlyweds my wife worked in a hair studio. One of her co-workers was engaged to get married, her fiance died in a car accident 2 weeks before wedding and had a life insurance policy for 1 Million and she was a benefactor.

She had to distribute the money between 5 banks.

He was in an affair for the past year

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has reportedly been seeing Lauren Sanchez for months
She is the former anchor of Fox 11's Good Day LA and a helicopter pilot
Sanchez and Bezos are both married, and National Enquirer is set to run pics
Enquirer accuses them of cheating on their spouses in an eight-month affair
Claims Bezos met with Sanchez for secret trysts and sent her 'erotic selfies'
The magazine is run by one-time Donald Trump ally David Pecker
Bezos announced Wednesday that he is divorcing novelist MacKenzie Bezos
The couple announced the breakup over Jeff's Twitter account on Wednesday
The couple did not mention how Jeff Bezos' $140 Billion fortune will be split
They got engaged within three months after their first date and married in 1993
The two share four children, including three sons and an adopted daughter

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has reportedly been cheating on his wife with a married former television anchor, and announced his split with wife MacKenzie Bezos to get ahead of the release of embarrassing photos that expose the affair.
Since at least the fall, Bezos has been seeing Lauren Sanchez, a helicopter pilot and the former anchor of Fox 11's Good Day LA who is married to Hollywood talent mogul husband Patrick Whitesell, according to reports.
Photos of Bezos, 54, and Sanchez, 49, are set to hit the newsstands on Thursday, in an edition of the National Enquirer that the magazine says 'exposes WHAT REALLY tore apart Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie after 25 years'.
The Enquirer claims that Bezos 'two-timed' his wife by 'whisking his mistress off to exotic destinations on his $65 million private jet' and 'sending her raunchy messages and erotic selfies.'

According to your last post he does not seem to be suffering from yellow fever. But, he may be a multicultural kind of guy.

Just because it is designed in China, does not mean it is of Asian decent...SmileWavy

A930Rocket 01-09-2019 08:24 PM

Damn, he’s ugly.

Just goes to show that money can buy you anything.

Edit: I’d be happy with just $1,000,000,000

fred cook 01-10-2019 04:11 AM

Who needs half?

I just want to be the guy that sweeps up the crumbs! That would be enough to keep me in high style for the rest of my life! No need to be greedy! I bet the lawyers are salivating like crazy over this one!
