Garage/outdoor stereos......

I enjoy listening to music when I work and since a lot of my work is done outdoors, I recently installed a couple sets of outdoor speakers up under my eaves in 2 different locations for this purpose.

They are wired to a stereo receiver I bought on Amazon for under $100.

I'm very happy with this receiver because it has a lot of features but what I'm using right now is a flash drive that I leave in and all I do to turn on (and off) my music is just hit the power button.

Here's a pic of the one in my garage. The other one is in a weatherproof container just outside my front door.

You could use Bluetooth with this as well but I prefer the flash drive.

Just passing this along in case it's of interest.....

I don't like commercials though - plus I like to listen to music that I like...not what someone else likes.

That said - the old Casey Kasem show was good to listen to and also if my team is playing....but not televised....the radio broadcast works for me.

Play Pandora through my 4 huge speakers in my garage using a Bluetooth adapter which works with my receiver, turntable and old school CD changer. Luckily the neighbors are far enough away I can crank it a bit, but then 95% of the time they stay indoors, kids included.

I listen to the stereo almost exclusively in the garage so my best stereo is in the garage. It consists of a simple stereo receiver and LSA speakers.

I added a bluetooth adapter to an old Onkyo receiver i have then added some outdoor speakers I bought on craigslist. I looked at that receiver at one point or one similar to it if that one doesn't have bluetooth, then decided to just add a plug in adapter.

Bluetooth phone phone to Bluetooth JBL wireless speaker. My garage is small so I don’t need a lot of oomph.

I built this out of old car stereo parts. Only one speaker, but it sounds ok.

I have 2 powered PA speakers driven by a used mixing board.

Lots of band guys are upgrading to later stuff

For a big 1200 square foot shop, cheap POWAH!

I'm not an audiophile per se but I have excess 'good' gear, some of which I plan to put in the garage. On a related note, I may get another Advent Model 300. It is a 15 watt receiver that has somewhat legendary sound quality. $200 all day long on the 'bay. It works GREAT as a receiver, but has additional value because it has the preamp-out and poweramp-in jacks. Tuner works great. Phono preamp is wonderful-sounding. And don't let that 15W rating fool you.
