Ocean Ramsey - the next Tim Treadwell?
Seems this young lady, a marine biologist, enjoys diving with Great White Sharks.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1547877478.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1547877478.jpg I'm not sure we know enough about their behavior to be taking these kinds of chances with them. She is very much an advocate/zealot, who claims to be doing "research" on these animals, much like Treadwell was "researching" brown bears. Until one killed and partially ate both him and his girlfriend. |
There was a big juicy whale carcass nearby which is why the 20ft shark wasn't interested in her.
Her 'research' will probably only give the animals one of our diseases or make it change it's natural habits...heisenberg principle. In the case of bears and crocs, feeding them or associating humans with food has led to man-eaters being created. |
The only question is whether there will be underwater audio of her being eaten for the inevitable Nat Geo documentary.

Ehh, people certainly find worse ways to potentially live short lives.
|
Reminds me of the “comfort alligator” being brought around to old folks homes in Florida, what could go wrong?
|
I have swum with docile black tip reef sharks.....it was beautiful! I doubt I'd have the same enjoyment with a Great White.....

Gillette needs to hire her publicist. She is good. A woman in full. Good for her.

Crazy and irresponsible. It's only a matter of time.

Sharks give territorial/control nips and curiosity nibbles all the time. It's what they do.
All the big ones have scars. Mating season is pretty bad. https://www.sharkdiver.com/who-is-more-aggressive-a-bull-shark-or-a-great-white/ These sharks are very much into keeping their "personal space" and it is rare for them to touch each other, without there being some biting involved |
Reminds me of the guy who believed he could commune with grizzly bears. Worked O.K until he tried to share his salmon.
|
Ah, Treadwell was the guy. You're way ahead of me.
|
She’s really added a new less sexy dimension to the hot/crazy matrix.
