Google Chrome Toolbar

Okay, I am finally, grudgingly, willing to use Chrome. The reason I have resisted is that Chrome seems to lack just about every single tool that IE has. Likely Chrome has those tools, but I don't know how to access them. Ideally, I would like to have the toolbar strip near the top of the screen. You know...the one that has categories like:

File - Edit - View - Favorites - Tools - Help

Is this possible in Chrome?

It's all in an easy drop down triggered at the upper right. Favorites can be placed on the task bar.

Chrome blows. I just used the Help function to learn now to turn Popup Blocker on and off. This feature is BURIED under several clicks and invoking the Advanced option in Settings. This is like a two-click operation in IE.

Years ago when I was the DBA for a software company we started getting phone calls that our application was not starting? I checked with a couple other companies and they were getting the same thing? After much prodding the users we had in Everette WA had installed the Google Toolbar! As soon as they removed it the apps ran fine......so my point is make sure all your programs and such work fine with it.

Wow, I did not know IE still existed.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
That menu bar is 90s technology.

File and Edit do not apply to internet browsers.
Tools - click the 3 dots on upper right.
Favorites are shown as "Bookmarks Bar" (3 dots, bookmarks, show bookmarks bar)

Once you learn how to use Chrome,
you will see that it is superior in every way
Learn to use "3 dots, settings" and search bar, not memorized menus

Had to stop and check the OP.

Thought for sure someone resurrected a thread from the Iron Age.

IE? Really?

It was a POS 100 years ago when it was state of the art.

There are fifteen menu items under the "File" tab. Granted, I don't use them often but they are one click away.

To turn off the Pop-Up Blocker in IE: Two ckicks

To turn off Pop-Up Blocker in Chrome: Two clicks, scroll, four more clicks.

How is this better?

Plus, I had to do a Google Search in order to learn where I might find these six clicks. Either that, or spend even more time just hunting around to find it. In IE, all the menus are on the strip at the top. Anybody looking for the Pup-Up Blocker tool would find it in seconds.

Try Opera, less of a memory pig.

Why are you turning off pop-up blocker in the first place?

Wrong. In chrome, it's one click. When you block a pop-up, just click on the little notification icon in the address bar.

Explorer was a boated piece of garbage 10 years ago, and I'm sure it's even worse now. Talk about missing the big picture
